Painting Stonework
Stonework is pretty easy to do after you get the hang of it. The technique used below can be used on all your Mines of Moria terrain. It's a great way to start, and then you can add more detail later.
Scorched Brown
Heavily drybrushed with Shadow Grey
Heavily drybrushed with Codex Grey
Lightly drybrushed with Fortress Grey
Horizontal border.

Undercoat. After priming the stonework with Chaos Black, stipple or blot Scorched Brown onto its surface.

Basecoat. With a large brush, heavily drybrush Shadow Grey onto the stonework.

Main Drybrush. With a large brush, heavily drybrush Codex Grey onto the stonework.

Final Highlights. With a large brush, lightly drybrush Fortress Grey onto the stonework's edges.
